Online Dissemination and Exploitation of Project Results (DEOR) Event

In December 4th, 2020 Friday an online meeting for “The Dissemination and Exploitation of Project Results of the Erasmus+ Programme” was held.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Director of the Turkish National Agency İlker ASTARCI and approximately 1,000 participants have attended the meeting.

With DEOR Meetings, it is aimed to introduce the results of the projects carried out in our country for the institutions and organizations that can benefit from these results. The concept of DEOR in Erasmus + Projects means that the project outputs are shared with a wide ranges of audiences. The  outputs support policymaking and / or serve as sources of inspiration for other projects. Every year DEOR events are organized collaboratively with Directorate for the EU Affairs and the Turkish National Agency with a specific topic. This year the topic of the DEOR event was determined as Migration and Refugees. At the meetings, strategic partnership projects with concrete outputs are brought together with institutions and organizations that may be related to these results. There was an intense participation from several policy makers and institutions such as the United Nations, the European Commission, public institutions and universities.

Messages given at the meeting:

Ambassador Faruk KAYMAKCI, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs:

Project Implementing is like Tailoring. After the dress is completed, we should not just display it. We use the dress, and must share with other stakeholders. We also recommend applying to central Brussels-based projects. "

"Since 2004, in Turkey, 157.000 projects were applied, nearly 34.000 projects were implemented, a budget of 1.3 billion Euros were allocated and more than 670.000 participants benefited from the program."

Ministry of Interior Immigration Administration Deputy Director Sinan YILDIZ:

"We have 27 ongoing projects, with a project portfolio of 140 billion Euros budget. For the future data shows us that immigration will not decrease and will increase."
